MHD Lake Services is a locally owned and operated dock and lift installation company proudly serving Northern Minnesota lakes.

Co-owned by Cole Hoover and Dusty DeMenge, MHD was built on lifelong friendship, hard work, and a deep connection to the lake life of McGregor, Minnesota.

Cole and Dusty were born and raised in McGregor and have been friends since they first met in little league. Growing up on the lakes shaped who they are today and sparked a passion for hands-on, dependable lake service. Both began working at Willey’s Marine in McGregor at the age of 15, spending seven years as dock crew employees gaining invaluable experience in dock and lift installation, removal, and repair.

In 2022, after seven years with Willey’s Marine, Cole and Dusty were blessed with the opportunity to take over the Willey’s Dock Installation Department and continue that work under their own company—MHD Lake Services. What started as a small, local operation quickly grew as word spread about their reliability, work ethic, and attention to detail.

MHD Lake Services began by primarily servicing the McGregor area, including lakes such as Big Sandy, Minnewawa, and Round Lake. Over the years, the business has expanded farther north to service lakes like VanDuse and Ballbluff, and now, in 2026, MHD Lake Services is excited to continue growing into the Grand Rapids area.

We are grateful for the trust our customers place in us and are excited to continue serving both new and existing clients. As demand grows, our goal remains the same: provide honest, dependable dock and lift services that keep our customers lake-ready all season long.
